"When it comes to romance, I''m a pro." That coming from singer Adnan Sami isn''t a surprise, especially when you consider what his soulful renditions are doing to the love struck. With his heart winning smile and some witty one-liners punched in between, he revealed to us the story of his journey of love. "I first fell in love when I was just nine-years old with someone in school, and then again with my history teacher," he said.
And on Valentine''s Day he couldn''t but smilingly mention one more name in the list. "And now it''s my wife Saba who is the love of my life." In fact he met Saba, who''s his second wife, in one of his concerts. "That brief meeting remained in my mind, and then it''s been like a fairy tale," said the King of Hearts.
But the days of yesteryears have fond memories of romance and courtship which this spirited man doesn''t mind sharing. "I have been into recycling and remixing long before it hit the music industry. I had a few of these favourite songs that I wrote and I would meet a new girl and tell her I''d written it for her and use the same to impress someone else. Believe me, they would be floored in most of the cases." Well done, but obviously he will not get away with the same thing any longer. "Ya, now everyone knows my songs, so I can''t take that risk," he says. But the women can wait when it comes to music. "As cliched as it sounds, my first love remains music. I don''t romance a woman as intensely as I romance a song when I''m making it," he signs off.
